Restylane-L™ is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid that restores fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe wrinkles and folds such as those from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).  The hyaluronic acid replaces the lost volume and restores youthful contours. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in your skin. It’s job is to help provide fullness and elasticity.  Over time your skin loses hyaluronic acid and as it diminishes, skin loses volume and increases the chances for wrinkles and lines to appear.  As you age, lips lose their plumpness and Restylane-L™ restores that fullness and provides a smoother contour.  It can augment your lips as well. The average Restylane-L™ treatment lasts six months or longer. The difference between the original Restylane® and Restylane-L™ is the addition of Lidocaine, a local anesthetic.  The addition of a local anesthetic makes the treatment less uncomfortable.
