Liposuction vs. Coolscultping: Which one is right for you?

Liposuction and coolsculpting are both designed to remove excess fat, but the two procedures vary greatly in the excess fat removal process and the overall outcome. Although liposuction and coolsculpting are both a safe and effective way to remove fat and achieve a slimmer appearance, one might be the better choice for you depending on your desired results and individual needs.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that vacuums excess fat deposits from under the skin, slimming and reshaping certain areas of the body such as the hips, buttocks and abdomen. Liposculpture or Lipoplasty is also effective in removing fat deposits from the back, legs, arms, face and neck. The best candidate for this procedure is someone who lives a healthy lifestyle, but even after efforts in exercise and a healthy diet, is unable to get rid of excess fat in certain areas. Liposuction improves your body contours and proportion in a dramatic way, as it is a surgical procedure. The recovery time for liposuction and liposculpture depends on the extent of the procedure. The best candidate for this is someone who is close to their ideal body weight but has small areas of stubborn fat pockets such as in the stomach, love handles or back fat that won’t go away with diet and exercise. Coolsculpting is a non-surgical solution that requires no downtime or recovery. You may start to see results three weeks after your treatment, but will experience the full results after two months. Your body will still flush out fat cells and continues doing so for up to four to six months after treatment.
